Celebrating the ULEZ Expansion

25th October 2021

October 25 2021 marked the launch of the Ultra Low Emission Zone expansion - something we’ve been looking forward to for a very long time!

To celebrate, we created some eye-catching posters and banners with 9 other campaigning groups across London. Volunteers all over London put up over 2000 of them up across the capital to highlight our support for the reductions in emissions we expected to come from the expanded ULEZ.

Huge thanks to Better Ealing Streets, Better Streets for Kensington & Chelsea, Clean School Air, Climate Action Lewisham, Friends of the Earth (London Network), Haringey Clean Air Group, Harlesden Neighbourhood Forum, Islington Clean Air Parents and Westminster Healthy Streets for being excellent collaborators!

We have a few posters left over, so please let us know if you’d like us to send you some to put up in your area - just email us at mumsforlungs@gmail.com.

#WeLoveULEZ because…

💚 It will clean up the air for nearly 4 million more Londoners. London’s toxic air leads to thousands of deaths and causes long-term health conditions such as asthma, stunted lungs, heart disease and cancer.
💚 Diesel vehicles are a major cause of air pollution, and the ULEZ has already reduced the numbers of those by 15% on our roads.
💚 Children growing up in the most deprived areas of London are more likely to breathe toxic air. We need the ULEZ so that they can breathe more easily.
